Where breakfast is served today, horses were changed over 200 years ago. One of the oldest coaching inns in the Sauerland has become a family business, now run by the third generation.
Who keeps the inn
Judith Kleiner and Clemens Berghoff-Wrede run the country inn today. When you eat here, your food does not come from a kitchen brigade but from the landlady herself: Judith Kleiner is at the stove.

No house of this age stays what it was. Rebuilt, extended, renovated: what remains is the floor plan of hospitality.
One of the oldest coaching inns in the Sauerland stood on Stockumer Straße. Horses were changed here, travellers were fed and news was passed on. If you sit in the conservatory today, you are sitting in a place that was always meant for people passing through.
The coaching inn became a country inn, and the country inn a family business. In every generation, the family did the cooking itself.
It was once an old coaching inn; over the years we have turned the Landgasthof Kleiner into a comfortable, modern and tasteful hotel with a restaurant, beer garden and wellness area. The Kleiner family
A sauna, experience shower and quiet room were added: small, but with everything you need after a day in the Sauerland. For guests staying with us it has been free to use ever since.
Five types of room with newly renovated bathrooms, the restaurant and the Bierstube, the beer garden and the terrace by the Stockum stream, rooms for meetings and family celebrations. And still a landlady who does the cooking herself.
